Firstwave has a major and continuing investment in R&D focused on building security applications specifically in content and message classification, ESP search and retrieval, Enterprise Risk Management, Data Loss Prevention and Compliance.
The Firstwave Research and Development group had its ‘germination’ in Telstra Research Laboratories AI and TEXT data mining team. When there R&D programme ceased. Firstwave licensed some technology and recruited from the team. Over the last two years the company has developed world class technology and advanced, proprietary IP.
These advanced products are marketed under the brand ESP™ - Enterprise Specific Protection.
Firstwave has–

• An established and rapidly growing “In-the-Cloud” managed Service Security business based on in its own proprietary IP with scalable, high performance, purpose built platforms. We stand on the back of considerable investment in Research and Development by Telstra Research Laboratories over the last 5 years.
