Chairman of the Board – S.K.Lidgett

Scott Lidgett, 46, is the non-executive Chairman of First Wave Pty Ltd. Lidgett was educated at Melbourne Grammar School and then completed an Engineering degree at Monash University.Co-founder of Lidcam Technology Pty Ltd and Channelworx Pty Ltd, Lidgett has been in the IT industry since the mid 1980s. Prior to Lidcam and Channelworx, Lidgett worked in corporate sales at Logical Solutions Pty Ltd, the leading reseller of Apple Computer products at the time.

Channelworx, a leading IT distribution business, was acquired by US listed IT giant, Avnet Inc. in November 2007. In November 2009, Lidgett, was involved in the formation of a new IT security business IPSec Pty Ltd, where he also serves as Chairman.

Happily married with three kids and a dog, he lives in Melbourne, where his interests include cycling, sailing and school sports.

Managing Director  - R.I.Beswick

Richard, who is an accounting graduate from the University of Technology (NSW), has 20 years experience in business development. He was also one of the founding partners of Logical Solutions a company which grew to a turnover of 100 million prior to sale to Fujitsu. He has also worked at a senior level within Telecom Australia and Harvey Norman Pty Ltd one of Australia’s most successful retail chains.

Richard was also one of the founders of Firstwave Technology and has managed the company from early start up to arguably one of Australias most advanced cloud based email security vendors.

Executive Director – G. Maren

Greg along with Richard was one of the founders and founding employees of Firstwave Technology.  Greg influenced much of the strategic product development for First Wave, forged the initial association with Telstra and has maintained a pivotal role in development of that account. He retains the position of Telstra Account Director today.

Greg came to First Wave after 12 years as a Director and owner of  Lidcam Technology and Channelworx. Channelworx, a leading IT distribution business, was acquired by US listed IT giant, Avnet Inc. in November 2007.

Director – D.G.Garnier

David lives in Beijing, China and has more than twenty years of senior management experience in a number of sectors, including corporate advisory, IT&C, digital media and transport.
He has successfully launched and transacted funding requirements for IT & Communications, Digital Media and Transport companies in the Asia Pacific region. Additionally David has secured capital funding for expansion whilst previously serving in executive and non execuitive roles with leading private and public companies in Asia Pacific.
David is the founder and Chairman of New Wave Capital, a Hong Kong based Corporate Advisory firm.
David has Bachelor of Commerce from Canberra University and is a qualified CPA. He is a board member of a number of private companies.

Director – E.T.Keating

Ted Keating has been involved with the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) industry for a decade, as a founding partner of First Wave Technology and as an advisor to the first Google-appointed SaaS partner within Asia.

After 12 years in corporate IT Management, Ted worked within the Australian PC partner-sales channel for a period of twenty years. He was Managing Director of a number of medium-sized multi-state commercial operations including Logical Solutions P/L and ChannelWorx P/L.

In his current role Ted operates as a business advisor and coach, in which capacity he specialises in providing advice on business strategy. Ted has been involved with a number of successful business start-ups.

Director – P Macrae

Paul has a successful history of setting up new businesses in the IT Industry in Australia and overseas. Since moving to Australia in 1989 he has been involved with the IT Industry at a senior level.

Currently Paul mixes a consulting business with his role as Non-Executive Director of Firstwave.

Paul has a strong background in IT Security, Application Software, Software Development, Outsourcing, Cloud Computing and Transactional Systems. His roles have included establishing MessageLabs in Australia, Galileo in NZ, setting up and selling a successful SAP Consultancy and growing business at a leading HRMS software company.
